Welcome to Nancy and Natalie!

The new Autumn Term sees the introduction of a new Leadership Team here at Broomhall Nursery School following our new and exciting collaboration with Grace Owen Nursery School, the only other maintained nursery school in Sheffield.   Nancy Farrow, Headteacher at Grace Owen, is now the overall Executive Headteacher for the two provisions, and brings with her a wealth of experience in Early Years.

Nancy says  “I am honoured to be working at Broomhall and playing a part in keeping our wonderful nursery schools thriving and evolving.  I am already starting to get to know your children and I’m looking forward to getting to know you too, as I believe in strong partnerships with families.  I am passionate about early years and giving all children rich and meaningful educational experiences as they grow and learn, exploring the world and all its possibilities.  If you would like to come and say, ‘hello’ and have a chat I’ll be around in a morning or at pick up time.  You can also ring me or email - broomhallnursery@lea.sheffield.sch.uk  - I look forward to meeting you soon.”

We are also pleased to welcome on board our new Assistant Headteacher, Natalie Bradshaw.  Natalie has been teaching for 10 years, specialising in Early Years for her degree.  She has previously been a Deputy Headteacher at Nether Edge Primary School, as well as over the years working as a Reception, Y1 and Y2 Teacher at Bakewell Infant School and Nether Edge Primary.  Natalie will be teaching in the classroom on a Monday and a Tuesday, and is also our new Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Natalie says “I love outdoor learning, which is what drew me to this role, Broomhall has a fantastic outdoor space which I can’t wait to explore with the children!  I am so excited to meet all the children and families and to get started.  Please come and say hello if you see me around the Nursery.”
