Building Work
You will be aware that a major project to replace the roof, canopy, doors and windows to the bungalow is due to start in the near future. The builders will be arriving on site on Friday 23 July and will be working throughout the summer. We are hoping the project will be nearing completion in mid September but have contingency plans if the completion time is nearer to the end of September.
80th Anniversary Celebrations
Later in the year we will be celebrating Broomhall Nursery Schools’ 80th Birthday. We will be inviting the community, parents, children and staff past and present to join us to mark this momentous occasion.
Car Parking
With the introduction of the new parking arrangements around nursery we thought it
would be useful to clarify our agreement with Parking Services. Parents can park
for up to 10 minutes in the ’Permit Holder Only’ bays on Wharncliffe Road and the
new ‘Pay & Display’ bays on Collegiate Crescent whilst dropping off and collecting
children from nursery. This lifting of the parking restrictions will apply ONLY at
the following times of day : 08.45am -
Charging Policy
Sheffield City Council has developed a new charging policy for childcare services which are under its management and governance, of which we are one. The proposal is for a single rate so that the discounts which we currently offer to students or people on low incomes will no longer be applicable. A further change is that all childcare services will be paid for in advance.

Broomhall Nursery and Children’s Centre is planning to celebrate it’s 80th year as a Nursery School in 2010/11.
